t’s open to dachshund owners and dog lovers alike

A wedding venue in Birmingham is being taken over by dachshunds for the day as a popular pop-up dog cafe hosts its first event in the city.

More than 150 sausage dogs are expected to descend on The Old Library in Digbeth which is being hired out exclusively for the Pup Up Cafe event on Saturday, October 2.

The gathering is dedicated to the stumpy-legged breed, although owners and dog lovers alike are welcome to join in the fun.

Four-legged friends will be free to roam, and there will be ball pits, tunnels, toys and other fun props for pets to play with.

Ticket holders can come along at a designated time slot and mingle with up to 50 sausage dogs and their owners at each session.

There will be unlimited dog treats available for furry friends, free bottomless “puppucinos”, competitions throughout the day and dachshund-related trade stands to buy goodies.

A spokesperson for Pup Up Cafe said: “The Pup Up Cafe team can’t wait to come to Birmingham! We’ve been to Solihull before but this will be our first visit for a full scale Pup Up Cafe: Dachshund Edition in Birmingham and we’re so excited.
