A pop up dog cafe event is coming to York this December to celebrate a love for the Dachshund dog breed.

Pup
Up Cafe, who host pop-up dog cafe events for owners and dogs alike, are coming to Revolution York in Coney Street, Sunday, December 19, as part of their Dachshund Christmas Tour.

Each event typically sees over 150 dachshunds with their owners throughout the day, who come together and celebrate the dog breed.

Marcus Ackford, the events planner at Pup Up Cafe, said: “It came to mind as there wasn’t much in between a walk in the park and Crufts, it’s simply a nice place to spend an hour with lots of like-minded people and the same breed of dog. Of course for December, all of this with a Christmas theme.

“We describe it as organised chaos. We’ve been going for three years now and seen almost 10,000 dachshunds in that time. There’s everything from ball bits to dog sofa photo booths as well as lots of local dog businesses, free puppuccinos and lots more.”

Dog owners and their pets have the chance to meet other dog lovers, while playing in ball pits, tunnels and with other toys, enjoy unlimited dog treats and ‘puppuccinos’, and take part in competitions.

There will also be a photographer on hand to take photos and videos that will be available within a week.

Plus, there will be trade stands to get your paws on dachshund-themed goodies.

The event will be split into timed sessions, limited to 50 guests with their furry friends at a time, in which those attending will be notified upon booking.
