Up to 250 Dachshunds are due to descend on Stafford this weekend.
Pup Up Café are visiting the town for the first time, with an event specially for sausage dogs. It takes place at Revolution based on Riverside and is their first event of the year.
The event runs from 10am-4pm on Saturday, January 18 and welcomes both Dachshund owners and regular humans, whether you’re looking to get your own Dachshund or simply love the breed.
Every sausage in attendance will get bag of dog treats, unlimited puppuccinos and visits to the treat stations and there will also be local trade stands offering everything dachshund related. You can also expect tunnels, ball pits and ‘off lead’ time as well as a best dressed competition.
Pup Up Café founder Marcus Ackford said: “We’re so excited to get to Stafford with our Dachshund Tour, we’ve visited the West Midlands once before and the event was received so well, we can’t wait to come and see our regular sausage attendees alongside many new ones for a whole day of Pup Up Cafe dachshund fun.”
There will be a photographer taking photos and videos throughout the day which will be available on their Facebook page. Each session will last at least one hour long and has space for up for fifty furry friends and their owners, just remember to arrive 15 minutes early.
They also ask that all dogs are taken for a short walk prior to the event so any business they have to do is taken care of.
Most owners are there to chat, share their pets with people who are interested in the breed and have a good time so please feel free to mingle, share tables with the puppy owners and enjoy the day!
They of course ask for all regular humans attending our event to please ask dog owners before petting or otherwise interacting with the doggies.
Tickets range from free for dogs and children under eight while Dachshund owners cost £7.50 and none dog owners are £10. For more information or to book visit www.facebook.com/pupupcafe .
